Hi, Resh! :) Thank you! And, yes, definitely had to include 'Barchester Towers' on the list. It was such an enjoyable read (and so fun to read with the group!).

I love this post. I will definitely be putting Barchester Towers on my TBR list. And Zen in the Art of Writing sounds like a book I could do with sometimes. It's hard to stay focused and inspired all of the time. Thanks for this list :)

In reply to Adam Fifield.

Hi, Adam! Thanks for commenting. That's really cool that you read both 'East of Eden' and 'The Art of Work' last year too. Jeff's books are great.

Have you read any of Steinbeck's other novels? I love his writing style and want to read more of his books this year.

Hope you enjoy 'The Memoir Project' and 'Steal Like an Artist'!

In reply to Sean.

Hi, Sean! Thanks for your comment. I can't wait to read 'The Grapes of Wrath'. It's on my list for this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares to 'East of Eden'.

I'm working my way through The Story Grid podcast. I love how Shawn Coyne and Tim Grahl really dig deep into the topics discussed in the book.

Yes, Bradbury's attitude towards writing is so motivating and refreshing. I remember that post you wrote. I really enjoyed it!

In reply to Arulnathan John.

I'm glad you enjoyed the list, Arulnathan! And thank you for the recommendations.

I love mysteries and haven't read Alexander McCall Smith's book so will have to check them out. I tried reading Haruki Murakami for the first time last year, but I picked up 'Norwegian Wood' and didn't like it and ended up not finishing it. I really want to give his books another try though (I think I would like his magical realism style books more.) Which would you recommend I start with?
