My mom was an opera buff and I enjoyed going to Madame Butterfly and Barber of Seville with her. I prefer the traditional costumes and sets.

I’ve been to one opera. Friends gave me tickets to an obscure opera at the Met. It was terrible. I would love to see Carmen or Turandot. Your advice on how to enjoy the opera is excellent.
